About Dolphin Tutors

Founded in September 2023, Dolphin Tutors was created from a deep belief that every student deserves to feel confident, supported, and inspired in their learning journey. What began as a passion for one-to-one tutoring has grown into a team of dedicated, friendly, and highly qualified tutors – each bringing their own expertise, energy, and empathy to the table.

I’m Lauren, a Biomedical Sciences graduate from Cardiff University and now a Clinical Trials Administrator for NHS Blood and Transplant. I’ve been tutoring for over four years and have worked with children and teens in many settings, from schools and nurseries to nannying. 

The personal experience of watching the pressure young people face in today’s education system is what first motivated me to start Dolphin Tutors. I wanted to create something more than just tuition sessions; I wanted to offer a trusted, friendly space where students feel encouraged to learn in a way that works for them. I’ve always believed that the right tutor can make a world of difference. Sometimes it’s about filling a gap in knowledge, and other times it’s about helping a student find their confidence again. With the right support, students don’t just improve academically, they thrive.

Our tutors are more than just academically qualified – they are knowledgeable, passionate, and enthusiastic individuals who inspire students to love learning. Each one brings a strong subject background, but just as importantly, they know how to connect with students, build confidence, and adapt their teaching to suit each learner’s unique style.

We believe that enthusiasm is contagious – and when a student is taught by someone who truly loves their subject, they can’t help but become more engaged and motivated themselves. Our tutors act not just as teachers, but as mentors and role models, helping students build resilience, independence, and a real belief in their own potential.

Every member of the team holds an enhanced DBS check and up-to-date safeguarding training, giving families peace of mind that students are learning in a safe, supportive environment.

We offer personalised one-to-one and small group online lessons that are carefully tailored to each student’s needs. Lessons are focused, flexible, and designed to help students grow in both subject knowledge and self-confidence. Whether it’s preparing for an exam, filling in gaps from a school move, or just needing someone to explain things differently – we’re here to help.

Online learning allows our students to learn in the comfort of their own homes, without the pressures of the classroom. Many find it more effective, more comfortable, and more confidence-building than traditional tuition.
